In Age of the Ring, Uruk-hai Scouts are the first Uruk units available as they are recruitable from a level 1 Uruk Pit they are highly versatile because of their weapon toggle. These Uruks were clad in light armour for long distance scouting and were armed with cruel scimitars and crude bows, which they used to slay Boromir as he tried to protect Merry and Pippin. Saruman sent forth a legion of Scouts to track down the Ringbearer and bring back his prize.
